HOMESCHOOLING SERIES 2010

Season 3 - Earth Science, California History, Physical Education, Environmental Studies, Animal Studies

The 2010 season reveals several changes to the curriculum in the Buzzard's Roost Ranch Education Series. In addition to the Organic Gardening and Equestrian Riding Series, we have updated again with another concentration of studies.

Purpose and Goal: Students will achieve a better understanding and respect for the sensitive, challenging use, and care of all systems of the Northern California area – how they interact and affect each other.

Several themes will be incorporated into our 25 acre ranch setting in the Blue Mountains near Lake Berryessa. These programs (California history, geology, animals, herbs, reservoirs/dams/hydroelectric, organic farming and other) will give students a well-rounded, holistic approach to the earth, combining research and studies with practical applications and exploration.

Class sizes: limited to 10 students. At least one parent per five children. Three student minimum to hold the class.

Age range: 7-14; curriculum will be tailored to age.

All classes will meet on Wednesdays, minimum of two hours.

Classes begin on March 3, 2010, and each series runs four weeks.

First paid, first served. Credit cards and POs accepted.

PLEASE CALL FOR SPECIFIC DATES! Each class is two hours.
